Who we are…
Hi, I’m Brea Marshall, founder of Bunji Co.
I was raised where the country meets the coast in Western Australia, but my roots have always pulled me back to Far North Queensland. After giving city life a go, I realised it just wasn’t for me. That realisation led me out West, into the bush, where I found a lifestyle that’s rugged, rewarding, and exactly where I belong.
I grew up around rodeos and hobby farms, but I wasn’t allowed to take part in most of the action. My parents were protective, so I watched from afar a lot of the time, and didn’t learn how to work the lay of the land until I was much older. Even with those early limits, I made it my mission to understand the land and learn the lifestyle, with a long-term goal of one day owning a patch of country I can call my own.
Since then, I’ve picked up a stack of hands-on skills, from maintaining vehicles and motorbikes to fencing, livestock care, and even doing killers (butchering). This life pushes me hard, but that’s what I love most. The more worn out I feel, the more driven I am to get stronger. I’m always competing with myself to go one step further, and the feeling that comes from that is hard to put into words.
That’s why I created this handbook. I wanted to offer something I didn’t have when I started: a handbook to help you build confidence and step into the agricultural world with practical knowledge and a solid foundation. If this helps even one person feel ready to take that leap, then it’s done its job.
